It is with excitement that we announce the successful completion of our FeedTheStreet Akure Edition. . We have brought joy, hope and the spirit of oneness to 400 people in the streets of Akure. Akure, the capital city of Ondo state with a total population of 744,000 experiences a touch of humanity as FDO shared the love and its essense with them.
Our first visit was to the shelter home for the disabled popularly called “AGO IRETI”. This home house over a hundred elderly and young ones living with disability and their children. We stated our mission as an organization and the purpose of our visit upon arrival and we were received with warm embrace. Prayers were said for the organization and the meal was shared for them. We then proceeded to the post office area of the Oja Oba, this particular spot house hundreds of beggers and we also ensured that each person had a meal.
This project is first of its kind carried out in Akure gave us the opportunity to provide quality meals to the people not forgetting to create an atmosphere filled with joy amidst the current economic situation of the country. Beyond the feeding, this event serves a greater purpose. It raises awareness regarding the harsh realities faced by the people. Our ultimate goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of people regardless of their ethnicity or status thus inspiring them to dream of a brighter and better future.
This project was made possible by the generous heart of our founders and the unwavering dedication of our team members and volunteers. The positive feedback from the beneficiaries was heartwarming, affirming the impact of our efforts in enhancing their health and well-being.
